Foster Update 7/10/12: Riley has the sweetest disposition and gets along so well with other cats. She is wonderful with new foster kittens, grooming them and playing with them. She is very silly and playful. She loves to run around the house chasing kittens or being chased.

After our adoption events in Oviedo, after everyone is gone, I will let Riley out and allow her to explore the store. She is so inquisitive and checks everything out. If I need to know where she is, I just give a whistle and she will peek her head around the corner. She and I have played chase in the store as well. I will chase her to the front where she will hide under the table and then she would chase me to the back of the store and find me hidden behind the corner.

I think the funniest thing she did one evening, was to come around the back counter with an almost empty roll of paper towels in her mouth, like a dog would carry a stick. She walked over the the table where I was working, plopped down on the ground and started to wrestle with the paper towels (pictures are at the bottom). That was one of the funniest things I have ever seen.

I love fostering Riley but would really love it if she could find her forever home and show her new family her loving and silly sides.

3/27/12 :  Riley is a wonderful and sweet little kitten. She and her siblings were found abandoned in a parking lot at 4 weeks old. Despite this cruel start, she is a very sweet and loving kitten. As all kittens do, she wrestles and plays with her siblings and foster brothers and sisters. She loves all kinds of cat toys, but wrestling seems to be her favorite pastime. She enjoys going out on the back porch to wrestle and run, but will take some time out to do some bird and squirrel watching. She also likes to sit in the second story window and watch all that is going on outside, especially the squirrels high in the trees.

She loves to cuddle with her siblings and companions. Riley loves to be pet. When I am sitting on the couch, she can usually be found in my lap or in a pile of kittens by my side. Whenever I am in the office chair she is always the first one in my lap. She loves to be where you are. Even at night. Riley has consistently slept in the bed with me and when I wake, I will find her curled up right next to me.

Riley is a beautiful mostly black tuxedo kitten. She has a white blaze down her nose that opens up into a white moustache. The cutest thing is her nose, which is completely black surrounded by all the white.
