Casablanca, now Jessie, was adopted as a puppy, but she recently came back to us through no fault of her own. Her owner died, and the extended family could not keep her. Here is what the family had to say about her:
Jessie takes time to warm up to people. She is very loving and affectionate towards the family. When she is around us, she is happy, playful, and cuddly. She loves to sleep in the bed with us. She is really good with other large breed dogs. We walk her with a Gentle Leader. She is housebroken and crate trained. She tries to sneak in the shower with us. But she gets fearful in new situations, including new places, new people and strange dogs.
Staff Update: Jessie has made a lot of improvements. When she first came back to us, she was scared of everyone. Loud noises made her jump. Going on walks was a terrifying experience for her--probably because she was in all new surroundings, and with strange people. Now, she's like a different dog. She is still cautious with new faces. But with the people she knows and trusts, she is extremely affectionate. She LOVES belly rubs
