Foster Update (6/15/13):

Daisy is a big love bug who can't help but capture your heart! She loves being petted and will show you her approval with her loud rumble purr. You know Daisy's happy when you see her doing the following:
  • She'll start rubbing against everything while purring loudly. This usually happens when she's petted and we learned quickly to keep an eye on what she's rubbing against to make sure it's not breakable. This has earned her the endearing nickname of Daisy Dozer Doo. :)
  • She'll eat! We joke that Daisy is the only cat we know of who's an emotional eater (in a good way). After a petting session, she'll head straight for the food bowl. This is one of the reasons she's a bit heavier than she should be. Daisy takes advantage of the fact that she's in a multi-cat household. She'll eat her food and if we're not quick enough, she'll also eat whatever the other cats leave behind.
  • She'll flop over and lay on her side or on her back. We joke about her showing us her hour-glass figure. It's definitely not because she's lean. When she's on her back, you can clearly a large patch of white fur shaped like an hour glass.
We also discovered Daisy has a unique way of letting you know when she's not happy. She squeaks like a mouse! We did a double-take the first time we heard her. She's such a big girl, you can't help but laugh when you hear her. She also meows when necessary, but it’s a higher pitch than what you’d expect from a larger cat.

Daisy loves to play with toys and despite her size, she can jump quite high to snatch her prey. While she gets along well with our dog and the other cats, we also believe she’d do well as the only cat. Daisy is a sweet, loving girl who would make a wonderful addition to your home!

Foster Update (2/9/2011): Daisy's doing great and is getting used to being in a multi-cat household. She's extremely sweet and LOVES to climb. She's still very much a kitten and loves to play.

Daisy was rescued by one of our great foster moms. Her neighbor was not taking care of the cat and had thrown her outside to fend for herself, so we took her into our program to find her a new forever home.
