Description:

Scarlet was born under a house to a stray mama cat. Her three other siblings were killed by other animals. Scarlet survived and when her mother weaned her, the owners of the house fed her for awhile. However they grew tired of her as she grew older, and they planned to dump her in another neighborhood so they wouldn't have to deal with her anymore. Thankfully the next-door neighbor found out about their plans. Their friend worked with one of our Pet Rescue by Judy cat foster moms. When asked for help, the foster mom agreed to take in Scarlet until she could find her forever home.

1/14/12 Foster Update: Scarlet is an absolute sweetheart! She's very active and loves to run and play with the other cats. She shimmys up the cat tree like a little monkey and loves to play chase with our cat Stella. Groom fests with the other cats are a common occurrence. Scarlet is also quite comfortable snuggling on the bed with humans when wants to relax. If the door's shut, she'll meow sweetly requesting entrance. Her loud rumble purr let's you know she's quite content being loved by humans and animals alike. Scarlet likes to be held and petted, just not when she's in play-mode. Because she's so active, we feel she'd do best in a home with other cat companions.
