Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Shelly the Snuggling Kitten (Video)

They are doing great. Shelly came around the next day( Sunday) and Manute on Monday. We have two very happy and loving kitties. We are so pleased.

Sophia the Maine Coon Mix

I'm typing this while sitting here in my recliner with a very happy Sophia in my lap getting her neck scratched. Picture attached. Thanks, Chris

Scout the Fun Loving Terrier
Scout the Fun Loving Terrier

Scout is doing fantastic. He has great manners, gets along with every dog he has come across. He absolutely loves my male friends. He is an absolute joy and I can't believe I waited this long to find him.

Sugar the BIG Lover

Sugar is doing great! As you can see below, she's made herself quite at home over the last three months. We actually just had her shaved in anticipation for the summer (which she actually was not happy about; she took to ignoring me for the better part of a day afterward, but she's since come around after realizing she's not panting nearly as much as she was before). She pretty much has the run of the house while my wife and I are at work (I know Judy believes that crating is required, but that's something I've never personally done). Sugar is very good when she's alone, and I do manage to get home for lunch to let her out, meaning she's never alone for more than five hours or so. As far as the neighborhood dogs go, it's really hit or miss as to how they react to Sugar. Most of the neighborhood dogs are smaller and thus get fairly defensive when she's around, as she quite often forgets how large she is. The larger dogs fare much better with her. Thanks for the checkup! Jen and I take tons of pictures of Sugar and we're always happy to share! :) - Andy
