Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Jake the Enthusiastic Tabby

Just wanted to let you know that Chewy is doing really great. It's like he's always been here. We live him. Below is a pic of him napping. So cute! God Bless! Tina

Jay the Mastiff Mix

Hi Kelly, Thanks for getting back in touch. Yes, he is doing very well. He is a happy and healthy 70lbs now. Since I got him back in April he really has behaved very well overall. He is a very sweet dog and has a desire to be good and obey. We had a lot of fun together this year, attached are some pictures to share with your team. Merry Christmas to all of you and thank you for the work that you do helping animals in our community! -Matthias

Jackie the Border Collie Puppy
Jackie the Border Collie Puppy

Hi Kelly! I took to calling her San (pronounced sahn) after she started barking at the TV when we were watching a movie about a girl raised by wolves. The girl's was called San which is a common greeting for young adult girls in Japan. It seemed fitting. She is a great dog. I brought her to the vet when I got her and they said they thought the rescue was a bit off and that she was really about 8 months old which made her about a year old on Sunday. We go to the dog park every Saturday with her friend Quila who is a 7 year old black lab. They get along great. We went on road trip to Miami last weekend. I have been teaching her many things including to sing! It's slow going but she is getting there! She is very happy (except when she gets a bath every other week but she is getting used to it). She still chews stuff sometimes when I am at work (like the curtain) but I cannot bear to put her in a cage so I just keep trying to make sure we get as much of her energy out during our morning walk. Sincerely, Lee

Juicy Couture the Lab Puppy

Juicy is now "Abby". She weighs over 60 lbs. and is a great friend and companion. Her favorite treat is peanut butter. She also likes to get a carrot and apple slice when I feed out parrot in the morning. Abby also likes to go for a ride and still thinks she is a lap dog. I am attaching pictures from then and now. J.

Jumpy the Blue-Eyed Boy

My name is Jumpy. But most people call me MooMoo, because that's the noise I make when I'm speaking to you. I was adopted in February 2011. No, I haven't lost any weight since being adopted, but my doctor isn't worried about it. He says I'm just "big-boned." I spend every day chasing the sun patch accross the bed and just hanging out. I am so happy to be loved every day as I deserve to be. I hope lots of animals find thier furever homes this Christmas. -Colleen
