Laney

Laney is a sweet, young, petite girl with the softest of meows. We took her in as our foster cat along with her brother Mikey about two weeks ago. One's first impression of her is that she is a timid, quiet, calm and lounging kind of cat but on the contrary if one of my kids plays with her she displays a completely different side of her character with her mighty energy, 'super-fast' moves (as my daughter puts it) and cunning maneuvers with the fuzzy string toy! You run one way around the wall with the string and Laney will race the other way with a 'strategically calculated attack' and block your path! How ingenious is that of a cat? It seems like when laney is by herself she will sometimes look for and cry for her brother Mikey, one of my other foster cats. The two chase each other, wrestle and tumble around in a black and white squealing ball of fur. They are hilarious to watch! Laney warms up to people and other cats easily. She can get even the most feistiest of cats like Doyle, one our new male foster cats, to play tag with her. Since Laney was previously in a household with children she does not seem to mind being handled by them. She loves to get noticed and talked to. She has this funny way of sliding on to the floor head first and sprawling straight out on her back. This is how she asks to be stroked along her belly and tickled under her arms! She adores this kind of petting.

EMERGENCY SITUATION – FAMILY MOVING AND CANNOT TAKE THEIR KITTIES -These two siblings Mickey & Laney were rescued as babies when they were abandoned and brought to the city shelter. They were brought into foster care and lived with their foster mom for a couple of months. They were looking for that perfect home where they could live together since they loved each other very much. Their wish came true this past Christmas when Lisa surprised her two little girls, Cam and Zoe with Mikey & Laney. They love their kitties and the kitties love them. Unfortunately, the family has to move and where they are going does not accept pets. Will you be able to take Mikey & Laney in temporarily as a foster or hopefully permanently adopt this brother and sister team? They are very sweet and playful and are less than one year old. They love kids and get along with the family dog. They are spayed / neutered and up to date on their vaccinations.
