Cocoa is an adorable puppy that will always come to you to be picked up for cuddles before he ventures out to go play.    He is extremely smart (knows sit) listens well and behaves, is about 90% potty trained, and has already learned you to use the doggy door. Cocoa will whine to let you know he has to go potty, but if he can't hold it long enough, he will use his pee pad. Cocoa will also whine initially when you leave him alone in his crate or ring. He does have a bit of separation anxiety, so he would do best in a home with another dog for comfort. He loves to play in the yard, but will always look back or come back to you for reassurance and is a pup that will become extremely bonded to his owner. Cocoa does do the “pointer” stance in the yard and comes when called. It’s also important that he has a tall wood fence surrounding his yard as he has been able to climb out of a 3.5 foot ring. He listens very well, is wonderfully well behaved, really enjoys cuddling and giving puppy kisses.

Cocoa, his siblings, and his mom all got their flight wings when they arrived at PRBJ via the Pilots for Paws program.   This organization is made of up volunteers that use their own resources to fly animals from rural areas to larger cities or more populated regions to help these homeless animals get a second chance and find them a forever home.

New puppy parents must be dedicated to obedience, socialization and potty training to ensure the pup grows up to be a happy and well-adjusted dog. We highly recommend their new family attend puppy training classes. Training classes are the most successful when everyone in the family attends so you all learn about your new puppy.
