Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Jammer the Maine Coon Mix Party Boy

Hello there! I just wanted to give you an update on how Jammer is doing. He is getting more and more friendlyevery day! The last few weeks he has been a lapcat iwth us when we sit down to watch TV. He is also climbing our big, 85-lb. Doberman to say hello to him; our dog (Momo) doesn't know what to do with a cat perching his front paws on his back, so he just looks to us for guidance. It is pretty fun to watch him become more social towards people. And he still loves to play, Jasper being his favorite play-pal. He still loves to make a mess with the water bowls, too, what a clown! I've attached a photo of Jasper and Jammer here so you can see the two best friends at the bathroom sink. They are so funny. I have two baby gates up to allow our cats a place away from the dogs if they want that. These two use them as extra reasons to play hard, jumping over them as they tear back and forth across the house and batting at each other through the slats. Jasper also makes sure that I am OK. He follows me around the house and is right in front of me if I raise my voice at anyone in the house, acting like my own personal bodyguard! That's why I've nick-named him KGB (being a Siberian Forest Cat and all) and Attack Cat. He will get after the dogs, the other cats, and even my husband if raise my voice! If I am calm, he is best pals with everyone, but watch out if I get excited! I have taken him outside our front door a few times to meet my horse, and he was very interested ut was gladt to be back inside after a minute or two. Now he knows the smell of the horse when I come inside . Well, I have to go get more pet food for everyone. The cats love having wet food at night, it must be quite a treat! I hope you all have a nice remainder to your weekend!
