Shenandoah

I just wanted to take a moment to send you an update on our newly adopted Shenan (Shenandoah). This little lab mix has to be the sweetest doggie! She loves to be around all the girls in the family including our 4 year and 12 year old daughters. She is still adjusting to living with a big man like my husband, but with lots of consistency and patience she is starting to come around. There is one man she really likes and that is her new best friend Max, a Pyrenees/golden retriever mix. The 2 have done wonders for each other. They spent their first day together completely engaged in a day long play session! The 2 are the same age so it's a perfect match. Max has helped to set a good example for her when it comes to their daily walks and now she is a champ. With Shenan as skittish as she is with new noises and such we spent the first couple of weeks getting to know her and allowing her to explore our home. Now that she is falling in the routine of our lifestyle (or is it the other way around!) we have ventured out to visit the dog park! She loves to interact, play and run with all the dogs. We are so happy that we have been able to add her to our family. I have included some pictures of her taken at the dog park - she was digging in mud puddles with her best friend Max!
