Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Selena the Super Sweet Little Girl

Hi Jennifer of Pet Rescue by Judy, Attached are a few pictures of Charlotte & Selena. We are so happy with "our girls". They are so entertaining & a comfort to both of us. We have renamed Charlotte to "Pandora" & Selena to "Star". The vet was very pleased to see such healthy cats & thought we had made very good choices. We call Star "Mother Star" because she gives Pandora face baths. Also, she defends Pandora & us when the neighbor's small dog gets too close to our patio screened door. She is a good companion to us & both will follow me throughout the house. Star likes to be groomed thank goodness. Star is a talker & Pandora has a loud comforting purr that we enjoy to hear. Pandora surprised us with her skill to play fetch with her mouse. When she wants to play, she brings her mouse to us & waits until we throw it. Also, Pandora took first position with sleeping next to my husband & I in bed at night. In addition, she has claimed the "cubes" that have escape holes on 3 sides & will challenge Star if she gets into the "her" cubes. They like to play with each other with "chase" as their favorite active. We hope you enjoy the photos. Please accept out thanks for helping us to find our "purrfect" little girls. Sincerely, Patricia & Wynston Lynn

Siege the Maine Coon Mix

Hello Catherine, Siege, who has been renamed Seraphina, is settling in well with my other pets and is happy. I took Seraphina to the vet, and everything was fine. In fact, they told me that her teeth had been professionally cleaned, which explains why her teeth look so good. Take care, Dorothy

Solo the Siamese Kitten

I think that Solo has settled in rather well. He is definately a lap cat, and that's great. I have nicknamed him 'Thai'. I have purchased him several different toys, and would you believe, his absolute favourite is the fishing pole toy from the Dollar Tree?? He has completed his course of Clavamox, and the sneezing has stopped. We went to see the vet on 1 Feb, and that went well. He had a "new kitten exam" and had his first dose of Revolution. We will be going back in a few weeks to get the final vaccinations. The day of the vet, he also visited my office, and met my co-workers who absolutely adored him...as does my father when he was here, and he is normally a 'dog person'. I am transitioning him slowly to Royal Canin cat food, per the vet. He seems to like it. He does have a rather funny habit of liking to play in the bathtub... I do hope that when it is time for a bath, that he will feel the same way! I actually took some photos last night. They did not turn out too well, he was not very cooperative, because he wanted to play, but I did manage to get one good one.... and I am attaching it for you. I tried to clean up the red eye, but it didn't totally come out.... also, I have problems with the photo sizing when sending in email. I tried to resize this one, but if you are unable to open it, please let me know. Thank you! Clint

Sparkle the Kitten
Sparkle the Kitten

Sparkle is doing great! I have renamed her Shadow because she follows me everywhere! She is just so sweet yet very playful. She loves to play with her little mouse (she can do this for hours) and has been sleeping under my bed in a little "cat house" (bed sort of thing from PetsMart). She purrs so loud - all you have to do is talk to her and she starts purring! I had friends over for the Super Bowl game last night and she entertained everyone then tired herself out and fell asleep on their laps! Thank you so much! She is just a perfect little girl!

Sage the Sweet Lab

Hi Diane, I wanted to post an update on Sage but wasn't sure where to do it. We adopted Sage back in April this year and she quickly became a loved member of the family. Even our cat has a special friendship with her. The kids renamed her Corina and love to play with her. This is the sweetest most patient dog. She sat very still when the kids put a princess dress on her and sits still when I brush her. At the doggie park she will visit with each owner there before playing with the other dogs. She won over my dad almost immediately. He had a rule of no dogs at his house and now he has a stash of milk bones for her when we visit. We thank Judy and all of the volunteers at PRBJ for all their work with the animals and helping us find our forever dog. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
