Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families. We invite you to read along with us. If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going! We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.
Oh my goodness! Look at that smile! Shorty was adopted from us a year ago and look at him now!
Approximately 20 years ago I told my parents that someday I’d adopt an old, sick and unwanted animal. One that wasn’t going to get adopted. One that didn’t have that adorable kitten or playful puppy thing going for it. And then one day while searching petfinder, I see this picture. Her name was ‘
Sophia
’. She was 11 and an owner surrender. Her owner passed away and then she found herself at Pet Res
cue By Judy. I knew from the first moment I saw her photo that
Sophia
belonged to me. Within a week I had a meet and greet scheduled. I bought her a tag and a collar and a bed and a little toy. My mom made her this cute blanket with pink elephants on it. It matched the fuzzy pink bed I bought her.
It’s been three years now. Three hard, unpredictable, heart wrenching, soul crushing and soul finding years.
Sophia
, this little 8 pound ball of love, has been the one constant. She licked away my tears during my divorce and jumped for joy with me as I progressed in my new career as an intel analyst for the US Army. There’s no telling how much time I have with her but I know that today is the day she made my life better by prancing into it. Shine on little one. Prance on my sweet lady. I’ll hold you for forever.
Good morning Colleen!
We absolutely adore Sami!. It’s new now but the boys are fighting over who gets to walk Sammi. They love him so much and are thrilled to the moon, as are we. In fact, my five-year-old, Chance, whispered in Sami’s ear yesterday that he was the love of his life! Yes, he is only 5 which should tell you how much Sammi is already loved.
Diane and Stewart, whom we adopted from you 21 Jun 2014 are doing just fine.
Keep up the Great Work You All are doing and continue to do for all the furbabies you continue to help every day.
