APRIL 30 update!    Sammie is the sweetest, calmest, most gentle dog.  He is very good with kids (we have 10-12 yr old kids).  He walks fantastic on the leash, no pulling and when we would walk, he had his nose to the ground curious and sniffing everything.  We have a puppy that is very high energy and Sammie was patient and showed ZERO aggression or dominance.  When he sees you, his tail starts to wag and he puts his head against you to cuddle and pet.  When you say "good boy", he just starts to smile.  I gave him a bath and brushed him and Sammie just stood there letting me take care of him.  Sammie was very good in the car, he sat calmly next to me just watching outside of the window.   He is completely house trained and indicated to us at the door when he wanted to go out.  He slept overnight in a crate and did very well.  I never heard him bark the entire time he was with us.  Outside, Sammie loves to lay in the sun or just sit looking at the wildlife.  We let our dog on the couch and it was his favorite place to sleep. Sammie is a good jumper and was able to jump onto the couch from the back of the couch.  He will be a great addition to a family that already has a dog.  Sammie will also be so content and happy as your only companion.  He will sit next to you watching TV or if you sit on your porch, Sammie will be your companion.
