Haiden the Kitten

Just an update...we adopted haiden! I will admit my heart was breaking when i saw chino there as well and going home with his new family but Haiden put those pieces of my heart back together! I will be changing his name...not sure to what yet. I think Haiden adopted me actually haha! The foster dad had just arrived and he was a little worried about how Haiden would react...Haiden was shaking when I picked him up and no more then 5 seconds later he stopped shaking, curled up in my arms, slowly started blinking his eyes and was completely relaxed! I knew right then that he found a home. He was where he wanted to be. He was very well behaved on the car ride home, a little scared once we got home but then started exploring and jumping on everything! He is such a good cat! Very smart too! Loves his toys, loves his bed and especially loves to eat! I have never had a cat take to me so quickly I must say. Everyone that has seen us together so far says how attached he is to me. as soon as he sees me he starts to purr then wants me to pick him up. As soon as i sit down he has to jump on my lap and will lay belly up purr and fall asleep. If this is how our bond/relationship is starting on just the first day, I cant wait to see how it develops the rest of our lives together. I would like to thank you, The foster dad who did a great job raising him and judy's pet rescue for doing what you do. I am sure knowing that you helped another rescue find the perfect home makes doing what you do all worth it.

Hershey the Stick Loving Terrier

3/18/13 Hershey's first night was great! Things are going so well. Thanks for the tip about mixing pumpkin in his food. His stool was already firming up this morning. He is learning quickly which I think will help him settle in fast. I took him with me to pick up the girls from school today and he was great. He actually stood up and wagged his tail when he saw them. During the night he barked twice. I think the first time my oldest got up to get a drink and the second time an animal set off a neighbor's flood light. Both times he settled right down when I spoke to him. I don't think we could have asked for anything better than Hershey! I will definitely send photos and an update for you when he gets completely settled. Kristen

Hayley the Shy Chihuahua

thank you all for Hayley. She's working into routine but still very submissive which means to me that she's not totally convinced. Once she overcomes her shyness I'm in for some interesting times, I am sure! Hayley is scared outside but curious. I'm sure the curious will overcome the fear soon. She's eating very well but wants to eat alone. She's been an affirmative cuddler. Thanks again Alice

Happy the Disney Hound
