Description:

Meet Roscoe – Your Loyal, Energetic Best Friend!

Say hello to Roscoe, a spunky and loving Jack Russell/Parson Terrier mix with a heart full of adventure and cuddles! Roscoe is the best of both worlds—playful and snuggly, smart and loyal. He’s looking for a home that understands the energy and charm of terriers and can give him the attention and fun he thrives on.

At home, Roscoe is potty trained and will let you know when it’s time for a trip outside. He loves to run and chase balls, and a fenced-in yard is preferred—especially since he enjoys keeping the yard squirrel-free (and cat-free too). He’s a little watchdog with a strong instinct to chase, which is all part of his spirited terrier nature!

While he’s happy to rest his head in your lap after a good play session, Roscoe doesn’t enjoy being crated for long periods and can get lonely when left alone too much. He does okay in a crate for short stretches, but he’s much happier by your side. He’s very people-oriented and will bond closely with his person—offering love, loyalty, and plenty of tail wags.

Roscoe’s still deciding how he feels about other dogs, so slow introductions are best. Here at the center, he had no interest in cats. He just wanted to get outta the cat room and back with the humans. However, per his foster, cats are not his thing—he’ll happily chase them out of the yard like he’s on patrol. So, owners with cars would need integrate slowly. He’s also known to be a bit of a digger, which is typical for his breed, so a secure yard and some patience will go a long way.

If you’re looking for a devoted, energetic, and fun-loving guy who’s ready to be your sidekick in all of life’s adventures, Roscoe might be your perfect match.
