Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Bailey the Siamese Kitten

I got Bailey from you a couple of month ago and as you can see he has taken over the house. Helen

Beckham the Gentle Kitten

Attached are some recent photos of Beckham. He is doing awesome! He runs the house and gets along great with our yorkie. He sleeps upstairs in my daughters room and stays there for the night but as soon as he hears someone up in the morning, he strolls downstairs. My daughter renamed him Luca… I have no idea why but he knows his name. We dealt with Flea issues on him for a while. It gave us a chance to “bond” with him because we brushed and used the flea comb on him a number of times throughout the day so he now loves to be brushed. So he is a very happy kitten now. Anyway, thought I would pass along an update to you and some pictures. Thanks for the kitty. We love him!

Blair the Young at Heart Tortie Point Siamese

Miss Kitty spent the first day hiding in the closet so I put her bed in there to get her comfortable and allowed her space to calm down. By the next day she would come right up to me for petting. She is able to jump right over the baby gate so she chooses when to socialize and when to be alone. She is a great purrer and loves to be rubbed. She is becoming more tolerable of the other two animals in the house. She hisses, growls and swats at them if she wants them to leave her alone. She recently stopped doing that if they are just walking by her. She is most social in the morning during breakfast time and at night when it is curl up on the couch time. Recently she has chosen the dining room chair for daytime naps as opposed to her bed, which is good because she now only goes into the room when she is eating and using her cat pan. I think she is doing better then expected!

Beauregard the Handsome Coonhound
Beauregard the Handsome Coonhound

Hello Wendy and all at petrescuebyjudy, I got your email about Beauregard and I am happy to tell you he is just doing fine. At first he had a few small issues but as he learned that he could trust me those issues went away. Every where I take him he gets complimented on his beauty and how proudly he carries himself. When in pennsylvania I take him on hikes in the mountains and he loves to run and he loves the water. I could not have asked for a nicer dog. If I could figure out how to send you pictures by email I will do that. Thanx again for Beau and the wonderful work that your rescue does. You are all angels. Robert

Bare the Schipperke
