Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Bo

Hello!

I just wanted to give a quick update on Huck (fka Rashee) and Watson (fka Bo). They're both wonderful boys and get along great with each other. I know Watson was a favorite at PRBJ so I just wanted to let you guys know he's wonderful and doing wonderfully : ) Attached are 2 pictures of them and 1 picture of them sleeping near each other on their beds. Thanks for all the work you do!

Best,

Buddy
Buddy

Hi~Buddy is doing super great!

I just gave in & did a full bonding experience & learned what a bed hog he is!!!! I think it will help with the trust on both our ends if he knows I am super committed. Little guy does like to escape.
I let my cat out while trying to keep Buddy in & dang did he go through the smallest opening super fast. He knew I wanted him to come, so he kept inching away. So I just came back inside & so did he!! We are getting into a routine & we are super happy that he is here!
Hope all is well & all dogs are finding a home!!

Beethoven

Everybody was so happy to see Beethoven, a staff and volunteer favorite, find his furever home!

Buddy
Buddy

He is pretty much the dog that I had envisioned. I really wanted a smaller sized dog for 1) I rescued a feral cat that comes in every night, but won't allow me to touch him, he's a sweety, & my hope is that he & Buddy can have a nice relationship as my Aussie took on the mother role to him, so he absolutely loves her. I didn't want a dog so big &
Overpowering for both my cats. 2) My Aussie is quite alpha & I really wanted her to be able to keep that role & not feel in competition with another dog, but more of a nurturer as I've seen her fulfill that role already. And she certainly is being gentle, yet playful with Buddy.

Buddy pranced all around the house, checking it all out, while taking breaks for kisses & loving.

He barked a bit @ my loveable orange cat, but looked liked he just wanted to play & Mikey hissed & told him to back it down.  Feral cat, Goose, is downstairs listening to it all. I'm sure it will work itself out.

Right now Budddy is resting/sleeping in his crate & we are all just taking it as it goes, but I really feel like it is going to work out beautifully.

Thanks for helping us with the process.  This is a huge day for us, that I will never forget.  The extra day actually gave us more time to know that we made the right decision.

I'm thinking that in the future he may enjoy riding on my paddle board with me. We are all going to have an amazing time!!

Big Red

I have attached several photo's of " Big Red ". His full name is Reddington but we call him Red . He is quite the character and brings laughter to our family everyday. He is VERY spoiled and gets to go on car rides, trips to the dog park and walks almost everyday. He loves playing with other dogs! He's very smart and intuitive. He is a great addition to our family and we couldn't be happier.

Thank you for rescuing him and caring for him until we could bring him home.

Diana, Randy, Sydney and Noah
