Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families. We invite you to read along with us. If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going! We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.
Just wanted to update you on our little
Bo
. He is doing wonderful. He loves to pester his sister Emmie and he loves running around with her outside. He is definitely not a water dog he hates getting in the pool.
He has been such a happy addition to our family he is so sweet and loves to snuggle.
Thank you so much for the wonderful addition to our family
Hi Barb & Dave Sandy & Bella here. Bella is for sure the love of my life as I am sure I am hers. She I found out does for sure have a stubborn streak about her at times about some things, but I guess I do too at times. She sleeps at the end of my bed on my bed & is 100% at home here about everything. I am soooooo happy that I actually was blessed & lucky enough to have found not 1 but 2 forever dogs in my life. Hope all is well with you guys & thanks for rescuing dogs that might otherwise be put down.
Just to let you guys know my Bella & I are absolute forever friends. She is very smart, but somewhat stubborn in some of her ways. She is completely house trained & has only made a couple mistakes. She has the run of my house & thinks she is a princess (I think so too). She has quite a loud bark which I am happy with as I want people coming to my door to know I have a dog. I gave her a bath after the first day I got her & she did real well with that. She minds very well & is my little shadow. I have had Bella checked out with my Vet & all is good. I am going to have her groomed a little because she is kind of shaggy. Well it was not my plan to have her sleep with me as I made a really nice bed for her at the foot of my bed, but OMG she just keeps jumping up at bedtime. That is ok she is little,. She has gained some weight & hopefully you can see by the pictures she is oh so happy. Yes for sure Bella is my forever friend In her forever home. Thanks for helping me to get her, I hope I make her as happy as she makes me, Actually I am pretty sure about that. Sandy & Bella
Bashful is loving her new home! Since she has the appearance of an Egyptian princess we asked if she liked the name “
Skyla
” (Egyptian for Sky) & she immediately responded!! Meet our princess
Skyla
Bash
She has an AMAZING purrsonality, is incredibly intelligent & her favorite thing to do is play fetch!! This has become our morning & evening routine, as I’m getting ready I take breaks to throw her favorite Pink Rope or Blue Mousy which she brings back again & again with a little “trill” announcement meow! On weekends when we wake up, she brings pink rope to us for playtime
We’re still taking our time introducing her to her siblings, letting her choose her pace: she’s met them through the sliding glass door when they’re outside & recently we started leaving the door on the segment of the house she’s been living in open to allow her time to explore at her pace. Our older babies are very curious about this new little girl, with our one boy, Zhayu, really wanting to be her friend (after thinking he saw a ghost the first time he met her through the window as she looks so much like our Skunk Harley who crossed the Rainbow Bridge in February)!! She not quite ready yet, but she’s enjoying exploring here & there, every day getting more comfortable with her home & siblings.
She loves cuddles every night with me (after learning that night time is for sleeping & not playing, she adjusted very quickly without us saying anything to her!), she loves playing - with EVERYTHING! And her bloated tummy has gone down & she running & jumping amazingly!
My husband says she loves all of us but she’s definitely claimed me - all she needs is to hear my voice & she leaves who ever she’s sitting with to wait for me . She’s become my best friend very quickly following me almost everywhere, telling me stories & bringing me toys to play with.
Thank you for allowing us to bless this little girl with her fur-ever home: she has brought so much joy & happiness with her we couldn’t imagine our house without her now! We’ll update as she gets more comfortable with her siblings.
Skyla
loves her Mom! After a long day at work, she’s happy to cuddle & help me de-stress!
She loves our Son,
This is the “Mom, you’re not paying me enough attention!” Pic. She jumped on my shoulder... lesson learned - all attention belongs with
Skyla
!!
After Zhayu realized she wasn’t the ghost of his big brother, he’s was hoping the cat door was open so he could meet his new sister!
“Thanks for the King sized bed for me, Mom!”
Hi Judy! Just wanted to let you know that Billy (we changed the “ie” to a “y”) is doing fine. He’s eating and loves his new back yard! He even wagged his tail! All is good! Thank you and your staff for bringing us together. Thank You!
