Description:

Bella and her son, Potato, were surrendered to us by someone who could no longer care for them. They came to us in pretty rough shape; underweight and covered in fleas. While we had them in their first baths they looked up at us like they were so thankful to be feeling clean and getting their nails trimmed (probably for the first time in their lives).   Bella has BIG beautiful brown eyes!

We are not sure on how much training they have had in their past. Bella is still working on her housetraining.   Also, if a towel is left on the floor, she may pee on it.   However, we know that they are sweet and loving and would make wonderful pets for a patient family. Please fill out an application to meet them!

FOSTER UPDATE:   Bella had a dental done when she was spayed and had a few teeth removed so when we picked her up from the vet, it took a couple of days for her personality to start showing through.    She is a real sweetheart and she is very smart.    She figures things out quickly. She does beg and needs some work with manners of that type but she does listen when told no. She has been mostly quiet but has "found her voice" a few times the last couple of days. She is not thrilled with crates though we do feed her in a pen, as we feed all of our dogs separately. She loves to eat, which is good because she is underweight. I discovered she really loves to be combed. Her hair is sparse and she is still a bit bony so has to be combed carefully but she clearly enjoyed it. She gets along with all of the other dogs in our home, large and small, and has been friendly to the many people in and out of our house.     She LOVES to have her belly rubbed and to lie next to you with her legs in the air.
