Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families. We invite you to read along with us. If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going! We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.
Judy and Team,
Wanted to share with you some information and photos of our sweet Nyssa.
Since adoption, Nyssa has socialized wonderfully with other animals and her
parents, though remains quite skeptical of strangers. She was in a normal
routine of eating dry food by the end of her second week, has grown to a
healthy 65lbs and has made a full recovery from the skin condition that had
her fur falling out.
Nyssa is one of the sweetest and gentlest dogs my wife and I have ever
encountered and we're so happy to have been able to provide her a forever
home. We've attached some hi-res photos of her in the dog park she
frequents for your files and/or use on your website.
If there's anything we can ever do to help support the wonderful work you
all do, please don't hesitate to let us know.
All the Best,
Anthony, Jennifer, and Nyssa
Here he is. All 70 lbs leaping in the pool. Such a great dog. Now 14 months and such a good tempered boy. We continue to work on training and believe soon he will earn the Canine Good Citizen award.
Wanted to give you an update on Autumn…..she did great yesterday. I believed she enjoyed the Jeep ride home (see attached pic) and when she got to the house, she was great with the cats. I had two of my cats go right up to her and smell her and she seemed a little hesitant, but took it fine! When I gave her a treat and some crumbs fell to the floor, one of my other cats came right up to her and was eating the crumbs right by her feet. So definitely no issues!!
And wow, did she and Homer play!! They played so much yesterday afternoon by the time we took them for a walk, around 7:30 , Homer was pooped-we had to cut the walk short! LOL I let her know it was OK to be on the couches and chairs and I will say she also learns quickly! ;) She jumped right up in the recliner with Aaron last night and was snuggling : ) She was pooped around 9pm ……
She slept on the bed last night with no problems J She is a great sleeper and snuggler. I love it!! And while I was taking a shower this morning she decided to just rest until I was done (pic attached). Very cute!!
We’ve decided to change her name to “Aura”, the Greek Goddess of the wind (she is super-fast!! J) and of course she has such a wonderful field of energy to her.
I gave her the Heart Guard and flea control yesterday too. : )
Please tell Kim and her husband that we adore her already-she’s stolen our hearts. We feel very blessed to have adopted her and I thank you and them very much.
Maria
