These precious babies were brought to us at 6 weeks old by an owner who rescued the mamma off the street and tried to keep them all together as long as possible. 8 pups were too much work for her with all the food, need for shots and vet care and so she came to Judy for help when they were able to eat real food. They were fortunately well cared for and loved, but needed our help. They will hopefully be ready for Memorial Day so we named them after Indianpolis 500 "Indy" Car famous drivers...and few of the lady drivers over the years.
Unser has a tiny white marking on his front paw and a tinier marking on his back paw, but other than that he looks like his brother's twin!
FOSTER UPDATE 5/23:
Unser is a little lover. He always wants to be picked up and held so he can lay his head on you and look up at you adoringly with his big brown eyes. He plays with the other puppies when he's in the pen, but if he has a choice, he'd rather be on your lap. He's not too interested in the rough housing and play fighting. He can give back, and will gnaw on someone's haunches or growl his tiny growl when they pounce on him, but he rarely initiates. He just prefers people. He follows around at my heels all the time, and he is very responsive whenever I call for him. He's a good listener. He pays a lot of attention to the person he's with, whether because he just loves people or because he's waiting to see what you want, it doesn't matter. He's always the first puppy to notice when I'm calling them in, and he's always the first to come running. I've been using bits of cheese for training, since his mouth just seemed way too tiny to handle even the tiniest milkbone. Right now, he's in the beginning stage of housebreaking. He knows he's supposed to go outside, he pees right away when he gets to the grass, and he looks up at me afterwards because he knows he's done good and deserves a treat, but he still has accidents in his pen occasionally.
Unser is a light tan color with black on his muzzle and eyebrows and a touch of white on his chest and some of his paws. He has a big round head and big, deep brown eyes. He looks like one of the pictures you would get if you Googled "baby animals." He's almost a caricature of baby cuteness!
