Description:
Nayla is a darling MinPin. She and her son, Rascal, were rescued together.
Did you know that black dogs and cats are the least likely to be adopted? I don't know why that is. Maybe they just don't stand out. ZooToo recently interviewed Judy as part of a Black Dog Syndrome story that you can view at http://www.zootoo.com/zootootv/v/petpulse796blackdogsyndromeb2

Foster Update 8/25: I recently started to foster Nayla who is such a charming dog. She may be 6 years old but has the energy of a younger dog. She is very sweet but needs a couple of days to really warm up to a person. She seems to be frightened by large men and people in baseball caps. But once she knows your going to give her a rubb she suggles up right away. She does well with other dogs whom are laid back and do not want to play much. My large dog (50-60lbs) scare her a bit and she usually gives them a little mid air nip to let them know she does not want to play. She is such a lover. She does get jealous of my other dogs when they get loven and tends to jump in the middle so she can get pet. She likes to be the center of attention. I think the best home would be in a home with no other dogs or a very laid back older not in your face dog. She does well with my cat but is curious and wants to sniff her (which my cat usually doesn't like and swats her..lol). I would not recommend a home with small children as she seems frightened of fast movements and people grabbing her fast. She loves to sleep under the covers in the bed and LOVES chewing raw hid bones. She is housetrained but i do keep her crated when i am at work until she is more confortable with my pack and schedule. She loves to run and look for bugs.. I took her to the dog park on Sunday and she "ran for days" enjoying a swim in the lake and some good outdoor time. She loves to walk and explore. She does know her name and comes when called.

Foster update 8/28: Well Nayla has really opened up. she was at first very scared of my boyfriend but now greets him with open paws! She loves to snuggle under the covers at night. She LOVES to be pet and will basically put her head under your hand for affection. She enjoys running around the dog park hunting squirrels and birds. She is what we call and Big Dog in a Small Dog body. She would do well for someone who wanted a small dog to walk with, jog or even hike. She loves to explore but comes when called every time! She is a great dog whom is very affectionate. I still believe she would do best with only 1 or no other dogs whom are not "in your face" with her. She likes to play but only on her own terms!

Foster update 9/3: Naya is a great dog. She is completely housetrained and is loose in the house all day while i am at work (8-9 hours). She is wonderful with my cat (basically ignores her totally). She enjoys running around looking for squirrels in the back yard and at the dog park. If she spots one clear across the 10 acre dog park she will run full speed to try and get it! She is quite the little fast runner! She enjoys human companionship but tends to get closer to one person in the home and become their buddy! She is a great little watch dog and will warn you if anyone is at the door. She would make a great home with someone whom wanted a great compaion to cuddle with but needed some alarm or protection. She takes her job as a watch dog seriously and if she does not recongize someone will bark untill you tell her its ok! She loves to chew bones, cuddle under the cover and chase squirrels and other bugs! She is a typical min pin!

Foster update 9/16: I just added some pictures of Nayla in her halloween costume (she is dressed as a cow). She looked so cute i had to put them up. She is doing wonderfully. Something to note. She DOES NOT liked to be picked up and carried around (like most min pin's) or grabed fast. She squirms to get away!
