She is a very sweet, playful puppy. she looks like she will be a typical Black Lab size with that lab coat.
Description:These adorable puppies came to us from Washington County. They are very sweet. She loves to play and be a typical puppy rolling with her siblings. She is on a good schedule, eating three times a day and sleeping when it is time for bed. She is on hard Blue Buffalo Puppy, mixed with a little pumpkin every morning.
Foster notes:
They are all on Blue Grain Free Puppy in a blue bag..but I would let them know that they should talk to their vet as this expense is not absolutely necessary for the future. It is a personal choice, but they should start with this and change gradually if they want to go to another food. It is readily available at Petsmart.
They eat that with a teaspoon or two of Pumpkin (from Publix) twice a day 8 and 4 PM, with a snack around 7, usually Nutro Puppy biscuits a few each night.
Sleeps on towel with siblings each night in crate and is partially paper trained. Like's tug of war type toys. Does not chase balls yet but will chase an empty water bottle because it makes fun noises.
They do not cry too much at night when they have lights out. they mostly cry when they first see you in the morning to be picked up or to eat.
German Shepherds are courageous, keen, alert and fearless. Cheerful, obedient and eager to learn. Tranquil, confident, serious and clever. GSDs are extremely faithful, and brave. They will not think twice about giving their lives for their human pack. They have a high learning ability. German Shepherds love to be close to their families, but can be wary of strangers. This breed needs his people and should not be left isolated for long periods of time. They only bark when they feel it is necessary. Often used as police dogs, the German Shepherd has a very strong protective instinct, and is extremely loyal to its handler. Socialize this breed well starting at puppyhood. Aggression and attacks on people are due to poor handling and training. Problems arise when an owner allows the dog to believe he is pack leader over humans and/or does not give the dog the mental and physical daily exercise it needs to be stable
*** According to www.dogbreedinfo.com, the Labrador Retriever is a loving, affectionate, lovable, patient dog. Once known as the "St John's Dogs," the Labrador Retriever is one of the most popular breeds in the United States. Originally from Newfoundland, Canada the Labrador was trained to jump overboard into the icy waters to haul fisherman's nets to shore. Specimens were brought to England in the 1800's by English ships coming from Labrador, where the dog's fine retrieving instincts were honed and developed. One of the best family dogs and canine companions because of their gentle, loving disposition, the highly trainable Labrador also excels in drug detection, as a guide for the blind, and service dog for the disabled. The breed is also an outstanding obedience and field trial competitor. Highly intelligent, loyal, willing, and high-spirited. Lively and good-natured, they love to play, especially in water - for they love to swim. They have an excellent, reliable, temperament and are friendly, superb with children and equable with other dogs. They crave human attention and need to feel as though they are part of the family. Labs are easily trained. These dogs are watchdogs, not guard dogs, although some have been known to guard. They have a life expectancy of 10-12 years.
