Description:

Bootsie, nicknamed Poppa Boots is a cat wise beyond his years. He surveys from 
the shadows, or from atop a high perch, and seems to be absorbing all that he 
sees. 
 
Born outside, Boots is happily learning the ins and outs of being an indoor cat. He 
will play with toys, but seems confused as to why. One thing he learned very 
quickly was how to play with and groom other cats. The kittens go to him for 
protection and nurturing, hence the nickname "Poppa Boots" 
 
Even if you don't see much of Boots during the day, he will be right there to 
tuck you in at bedtime. With a few "kneads" on your tummy, he settles in to 
sleep with his head in your lap. When I wake up, hours later, he is still right 
there by my side. 
 
Won't you please help this dignified cat find his forever home? 

Bootsie and his brother ZeeZee spent much of their early lives surviving under a porch and living off the kindness of strangers. Now that his brother has been adopted, Bootsie is looking for a great forever home of his own!

 

Foster Update (1/31/12): Since ZeeZee has been adopted, Bootsie has BLOSSOMED! He is much more confident now and will explore the house, play with the other cats, come get treats and even sleep in the human bed with everyone else! He has always LOVED to be cuddled (I think being held like a baby makes him feel more secure), but now he seeks out people to cuddle with! With a beautiful face like his, who could say no?

Foster Update (12/18/11):   Bootsie is a wonderfully sweet boy who is still just a little shy around humans. Who can blame him after all he and his brother ZeeZee have been though? But of the two of them, he is quicker to come around and investigate the new surroundings. In time, he will evolve into a super confident cat!

He is now coming out to play with the other kitties in feather wand games and purrs when he's cuddled!
