Foster update 1/6/12 - As with any kittens, the older they get, the higher their energy levels get and Lucky is no exception. He still loves to wrestle with his sister and foster brothers and sister, but now it's at his speed and pace. No more getting bowled over. He's running from one end of the house to another, daring anyone to catch him. But, he can also take it slow. A lot of times when he is tired of waiting for me to fix his food he will just plop over on his side and start playing with whatever is available. Usually the other kittens or whatever toy happens to be in the kitchen. He still loves fuzzy mice, but his new favorite toys are fuzzy pompoms. I find them everywhere, no matter how many times I put them back in the basket.

Lucky is a wonderful lap cat. Once he realizes there is a lap available, he will be there for the duration. If the lap he wants is occupied, most of the time he will make room for himself. Sometimes though he will lay down right next to you and just start purring. He has quite a loud one and a really cute trill he uses when he is excited and is coming to see you. He also sleeps in the bed pretty consistently. He is usually stretched out next to you when you wake up in the morning. He is still not real keen on being held. He just wants to make sure he doesn't miss any of the action.

 

11/24/11 - Lucky came by his name, 1. because he reminded me of a leprechaun when he was little and 2. because he is so happy-go-lucky. He is very sweet and funny also. He loves to play with his brothers and sister and foster brothers. Wrestling is one of his favorite pasttimes. He is very curious and can turn any item into a fun play toy. He loves boxes, fuzzy mice, chasing balls, cat tree towers and running full speed through the house. He has been bowled over by his older foster brothers several times, but will jump back up and be ready to wrestle when they come back around. He has a really cute habit of sitting in front of you and tilting his head all the way back to look at you. He likes to be brushed and is a very good groomer himself. When bedtime comes, he can usually be found with his brothers and sister in the cat tree.
