Description:

WiFi and his siblings came to us from a high kill shelter and are now looking for wonderful forever homes!

Foster Update: Wifi is the lone male in the family. His coat is a golden brown in color with a black snout. His ears are not as erect as the other pups. The right ear elevates more than the left. He is a very active puppy and plays with the other puppies and our dogs. He does not like to be held much.  They enjoy playing in the yard and investigate all corners of the yard. He eats puppy dry dog food. I recently added some canned puppy food and eats some of that as well. They prefered dry dog food when we first got them at the shelter. He likes to be the big cheese and beat up on his sisters.

Foster Update:  Wifi is very handsome and slender. His ears do not stand up straight as his siblings. He is very playful and thinks of himself as a big boy. He sleeps in a crate at night. He will let you hold him more now, but not for long. He has to see what is going on with his siblings. He is very playful. We enjoy watching the puppies and their interaction with us and the other dogs in our home.    He eats dry dog food (Veterinarian puppy Formula). I add canned dog food at least once a day.

Foster Update:  Wify is very playful with his siblings and our 4 dogs. He has become more personable with me. He now will let me hold him more and give him some love. He loves playing in the yard with all the doggie toys and other things he can find to chew on. I keep a doggie bed in our tv room and he enjoys sleeping on it during the day.  He eats dry puppy dog food and has started eating canned dog food with some yogurt in the morning-though it is not his favorite~ WIFI  is a handsome little pup.

***According to dogbreedinfo.com, in April 1899, Capt. Max von Stephanitz registered a dog named Horan as the first Deutsche Schäferhunde, which means German Shepherd Dog in English. Known for their tremendous loyalty and courage, they are calmly confident, but not hostile. This breed needs his people and should not be left isolated for long periods of time. They only bark when it is necessary. Serious and almost human in his intelligence, they have a high learning ability. The breed is so intelligent and learns so readily that it has been used as a sheepdog, guard dog, in police work, as a guide for the blind, in search and rescue service, and in the military. The German Shepherd also excels in many other dog activities including schutzhund, tracking, obedience, agility, flyball, and ring sport. His fine nose can sniff out drugs and intruders, and can alert handlers to the presence of underground mines in time to avoid detonation, or gas leaks in a pipes buried 15 feet underground. A quick daily brushing is best unless hair in the house is not a problem. They should be bathed rarely, only once or twice a year to avoid skin oil depletion. Shepherds have a life expectancy around 13 years.
