Foster Update 1/8/12: Marilyn is a sweetheart kitty that'll make you remember why you love cats in the first place....she's funny and frisky, curious and adventuresome....rumor even has it that she was an actress in one of her former lives.....there's this broke down kitty routine she has where she breaks out in a mad dash and then collapses in front of you and stretches wayyyy out on her back and sort of rolls while keeping her eye on you to make sure you're watching.....it's a real eye-catcher lol.......further, this gorgeous kitty is super affectionate....she's a serious 'talker' & the queen of purrrr-ville......she has a healthy appetite and is fond of both wet & dry cat food, tho she's not adverse to a tad of boiled chicken once in awhile, too lol....bottom line,  Marilyn is a totally awesome  black kitty that will make a wonderful addition to any cat-luvin home....you'll need to treat her really, really well tho,  or her foster mom will forever haunt you...  :)

Marilyn came to us from Lake County Animal Control. Her time was up but the staff there thought that she was special and begged Judy to take her - and she did! Marilyn is so very sweet! She is front declawed. She has been placid and sweet tempered even in the most stressful of environments and times. The vet believes that she is an exotic mix.

Foster Update 9/4/11:The moment Marilyn's paws hit the carpet yesterday, all signs of shy/timid were eliminated. She is keeping Anthony and I hilariously entertained. Well, Anthony is mostly entertained; he has growled at her a couple of times (& vice versa,) but despite that he has taken a keen interest in her & it's clear that he wants to be friends. He has spent more time out from under the bed since she arrived than ever before, though it was sort of "sickly/lol" hilarious yesterday when he came out from under the bed and Marilyn scooted under & took his place! Overall, he was a gentleman about it, but the look on his face was something to behold.

From the looks of things this morning, there's not a crevice in this house that Marilyn didn't check out during the night. All signs are that she's going to be quite happy here while her hair grows in & you all work your magic on finding her the perfect permanent home. Someone, somewhere is in for a huge treat!! Thanks for sending this lovely girl over my way & best wishes for a lovely Labor Day week from the 3 of us!

Volunteer Update: Marilyn is a little shy around new people but she is so very open to being loved and petted. She soon warms up given time and patience and a gentle touch. She is a gentle soul.
