Description:
Don't let Joey's shy exterior fool you... he is actually a little love and snuggle muffin. After he gets his playtime in with other kitties, he relaxes, seeks you out and just wants to be petted, stroked and loved... a lot! Stimulated by other cats he loves to play and then he is all yours, like a little baby. He has been around non-aggressive dogs. Loves wet food. He would make a wonderful, devoted and loving companion.
Foster Update - 8/26/11 - Joey was initially very guarded and cautious. It took him longer to get used to us, but eventually he would let his guard down and join the family in front of the tv and search for whoever had a free hand to scratch his head or pet him. Joey & Calvin got along beautifully with our 2 Boston terriers; in fact, Joey would sleep with Oreo on the couch daily. There was never a single fight between any of the animals, never. They use the cat box, they comfortably shared space with the dogs and the family. They didn't destroy curtains or furniture. They were curious, but not destructive. They weren't noisy at night. They kept each other playfully occupied, which probably resulted in less mischief. We really miss them and want them to find a really good home. We really enjoyed taking care of them.
Foster Update - 3/28/11 -Joey and Calvin are doing great. They have adjusted to our home and our two Boston terriers right away. Both of them enjoy hanging out with the whole family every evening in the family room. They love to play. They are both great companions for a home with friendly dogs and older children (young children might frighten Joey at first) and adults. I am sure they will make a family very happy.
Joey is very loving, enjoys being petted, plays with his brother and loves to explore. He is surprisingly friendly with our dogs and rubs up against all the time. He sleeps in my son, Ryan's bed and has become very close to Ryan. He still is a little timid as he wasn't happy about having to take medicine when he first arrived in our home, which is completely normal.
