Description:Mocha was adopted from us as a kitten but has been returned by owner because he needs a home with no small children. He is very loving and affectionate to his human.
Mocha and his 3 siblings were originally dropped off in a crate outside our shelter.
Foster Update - 12/12/2011 Mocha is such a joy! He is social and talkative and gets along with people, cats, AND dogs! He is extremely adaptable and confident even in stressful situations like moving homes or going to adoptions, and his coat is so beautiful and shiny, when he stretches out he looks like a sleek beautiful panther right out of the jungle.
He's definately a lap cat and loves to lay with his humans and be petted, but is not a huge fan of being carried around. He'd rather get there on his own four paws! He will sleep in the bed with you and would be a great companion for someone who wants a really social, loving, talkative cat! He's not even afraid of strangers and will climb right up into the laps of people he's just met to have a chat! He's even great about going into and getting out of the cat carrier and doesn't mind car rides, even when there are big dogs sniffing him the whole time. What an amazing cat!
Foster Update - 8/27/2010 Mocha is definitely the best of both worlds! He is active and playful but if you or any human friend are within his reach, he will sit and cuddle for as long as you will let him. He is wonderfully loving and affectionate and sometimes likes to suckle or nibble on fingers. He shows no fear of larger animals, and loves to play with our 70lb foster dog. He will actually try to get under the door to go play with him. He loves to play with our dog's tail and paws and then takes off across the house so the dog will chase him. Upon being "caught" he will rub up against the dog's legs, and groom his face. It's too cute!
His favorite pass-times include chasing string, watching you and following wherever you go.
