Dakota & his brother, Theodore were living under a shed at a local business. They were trapped by the concerned employees there and taken to PRBJ. They were then taken to a foster home where they are now and will stay until they have a forever home of their own.

It took Dakota about 3 weeks to finally trust his foster Mom and Dad. He loved his feline foster friends immediately but it took time and patience for him to interact with people. Now he is the kitten closest to you on the bed or couch. He presses himself against you as if he can't get close enough. As soon as you touch him he presses closer and starts purring.

He is a little skittish with strangers but curiosity will get the better of him and he comes to check out the new person. Loud noises and sudden, unexpected movements still scare him although he recovers quickly and acts a little embarassed!

Dakota is the ultimate velcro kitten - he has to be on you or close to you, touching.

Foster Update 5/20 - Dakota has a new little quirk - it's so sweet. When he is next to you he has to have a paw on you. If you move, he moves his paw. As each day goes by, he is sweeter and more loving. He does like a lot of attention and won't stay in the kitten bedroom overnight with the other fosters. He cries and cries until I let him out. He bounds into the bedroom, bounces around the bed, attacking feet and unseen monsters under the duvet then after about 10 minutes he settles down, as close as you as possible and goes to sleep.
