Description:Quinn came to us when a person witnessed her being thrown out of a car. They pulled right over and pick her up and brought her to us!
Foster update 3/5: Quinn is very playful and energetic but also likes to get into your lap and snuggle. She is in excellent shape and is so cute. She LOVES the kids and our dog!
Quinn is a very high energy Jack Russell. She needs to have someone who is home regularly to take her out for frequent exercise breaks.
Foster Update 04/10: We got Quinn on 3-30-10. We LOVE this dog!! She WILL melt your heart! Her favorite things to do at our house are to run, play, and be up on someone’s lap (especially the kids’). She absolutely loves kids and other dogs. She spends a lot of time and energy wrestling and chasing around our dog. She has never tried to chew on anything in our home other than the chew bones she is allowed to have. She is not a barker (unless someone is playing the drums!). She does bark when someone comes to the door, but stops once they are inside. She also enjoys car rides and is good and comfortable in the car.
Quinn is a very good eater. She eats the food she is given very quickly and does not try to go for our dog’s food if he is not finished yet. She is also not protective or aggressive about her own food. I have been giving her @¾ c. of the food I was given by PRBJ (can’t remember the brand) with a little wet food and water mixed in. She is very healthy, poops are normal and regular and she doesn’t vomit. She also doesn’t seems to have any skin problems (no itching, etc.) She was given topical flea medication on 3-31- we have never seen any fleas on her.
As far as housetraining goes, I think it was just a matter of her getting adjusted and me figuring out what works for her and what doesn't. She has not had an accident since the first couple of days she was here and she is no longer going in her crate either.
Quinn is not timid or shy about anything. Yet she does not try to dominate and does NOT have an aggressive bone in her body. Basically she just wants to play all the time and is a 100% happy-go-lucky dog. I would strongly recommend taking her to dog parks so that she can run and play to her hearts content. She loves that! She responds to “no”, “sit”, and her name.
