Description:
Jacob and his siblings came to us from a rural shelter. When they arrived they were very sick and our staff worked endlessly to nurse them back to health. They are sweet, young dogs that need training. Hound dogs tend to follow their noses wherever they will take them. We are requiring that his new home have a secure fenced-in backyard for him to run and play in. And when he is outside in the yard he will need to be supervised at all times in case there is a smell that grabs his attention on the other side of the fence.
Because Jacob and his brothers have spent so much time at the rescue recovering, they have not had a chance to be puppies or to be potty trained, but are learning quickly. They have not had a lot of leash walking either but seem to be catching on and liking it too. Each will need a forever home with a family that is active and patient to help them become well-mannered, leash trained and housetrained. The boys are all loving and will make a wonderful addition to a home.
