Carol and her sisters were brought to us from a very rural shelter in Tennesse. All of them are very shy because of the trauma that they endured in their previous lives. Carol is blind in one of her eyes. This injury was caused by direct abuse from her previous owner. Carol is now living in a foster home and this is what her foster mom had to say about her:
"She is a funny little dog with lots of personality. She is skittish when being approached but will come running over to you if you're sitting down on the couch or laying in bed. When she jumps up to greet you while you relax she is nothing but tail wags, smiles, cuddles, and kisses. She still barks at my husband when he walks up unexpectedly but will join him on the couch once she is comfortable and knows he won't hurt her. She does not aggressively bark at him, it is more of a scared bark and she backs up. She enjoys running in the sunshine so I do think a yard would be best for her, but a short fence would be fine or even a patio that she could hang out on."
