My name is Pumpkin. I was abandoned in a trailer with 4 other dogs.  A lady found us and placed us all in homes, unfortunately her large dog and I did not get along. I enjoyed playing with the older grandchild, cats, belly rubs, playing ball, and getting a bath. I was a good girl when the staff groomed me. I am the perfect lap dog and just want someone to pet me while I sleep. I would love to have my owner all to myself and I would prefer to not have any other dogs in my next home. 

10/1/2018 update: Here at the center, we have observed Pumpkin not being a fan of other dogs, bog or small.  Even when she is walked by the dog park, she makes a big fuss just having other dogs around her.                                          However, when Judy took her home, Pumpkin  happily roamed around the living room with Tomasina, a large Shepherd, and Lucy and Smushy, 2 smaller dogs. After awhile, they were all laying on beds next to each other with no problems.  Maybe at the center, she was wired, but in a home setting, she could relax and be happy not being crated.                                        We are unsure what her prior experience with other dogs were, poor girl, but with her mixed reaction to being around other dogs, we recommend she be the only canine in the home until we have monitored her disposition around more dogs here at center and with Judy.               We have not interacted her with cats here at the center and would suggest a cat test first for families who have a feline friend.                            Also, as former owner indicated she was fine with older grandkids, we would recommend famililes with older, considerate children.
