Description:

Foster Update June 4,2017:

Wow, Briton has blossomed!

She sleeps in her crate all night, loves being with my big dogs, runs. wrestles and plays with the best of them. She is still a wee bit shy of strangers, but it doesn't take too much for her to warm right up. Puppies and toddlers are not a good match, but she'd make someone a super buddy. No apartments, please, she needs a fenced backyard to safely Tomo and play in

******************************************************

The Avalon 5 puppies came to us from a very rural situation. Avalon, their Mom, was allowed to wander unaltered and had a multitude of litters. We have Mom now and she’s sweet & safe with us and she’ll never have to have another unwanted litter. The “owners” moved and left Avalon and her 5 puppies behind. We thank their kind rescuer for saving them out in the boondocks.

That said…

The puppies are wonderful but unfortunately, they had the bare minimum of human interaction. These puppies want to trust so badly and they love to be petted while you’re sitting down with them, but being picked up and held is foreign to them and they squirm and wiggle to be set down. As much as they have improved since they came to our home as fosters, it’s just a matter of time until they trust humans emphatically and their confidence is high.

Nonetheless…

These puppies are big, strong and healthy, their coats are shiny and they all LOVE food and treats. A food motivated dog is such a pleasure to train because it’s easier with a treat reward.

Interested?
She's shy, scared and loveable.
