Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

I wanted to write and send photos to say thank you for what you do! Because of your continued passion to save these wonderful animals, I now have 3 of your rescues in my home. We have 4 pets total (2 cats and 2 dogs) One of the cats is the product of a rescue from my daughter. The 2 dogs and the 2nd cat are all from you , and they are a joy. When we first arrived in Florida about 5 years ago, I had just had to say a final goodbye to my friend of 18 years - a black short hair named Chan. Our other cat came to Florida with us, but shortly there after got out and I never found him. We spotted a sweet black short hair one day ( about 7 months old) while in Petsmart and decided that he should come home with us. He came into our home, greeted our then 9 1/2yr old Basset Hound like an old friend, and quickly won our hearts. His original name was Sailor - we now call him Manny! A year and a half ago we adopted Max, an underweight German Shepherd, and then last month, after the death of our 13 year old Bassett, we adopted Kim, another Bassett, now called Molly. Molly has joined our little family like she has always been here. She and Max are great company for one another. She is a character, likes to "smile" at the camera. Thank you again for your dedication and for the care and kindness you give to theseanimals. We often laugh that you must give them some sort of "love pill" becausethey are all so very affectionate and wonderful!! Our home would be empty without them. Tom and Celia C.
