Darla the Rat Terrier

Hi! Three months after their adoption, I wanted to email you an update on how Charger and Darla are doing. They're both great dogs and so fun to watch when they play together. They love our backyard and spend a lot of time out there chasing squirrels and lizards. Though I have a few new holes in the lawn and lost a few pairs of shoes before I learned to shut my shoes away, we have adjusted and bonded together. Darla is such a cutey (rat terrier) and Charger is such a mellow couch potato. We have been going to obedience training classes for about a month and a half and they are making very good progress in sit, down, heel, stay and come. Darla loves chasing her stuffed toys. Between that and two walks every day, Darla has plenty of outlet for her never-ending energy. The kids in the neighborhood have discovered how much Charger loves attention and they always pet him when we go for our evening walk. Darla is still a little timid around kids, but is getting used to the older ones. Thanks to all of your volunteers for the loving care they gave to Darla and Charger while they were waiting to be adopted. I'd send a picture, but I don't have a camera, right now. Nancy
