Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families. We invite you to read along with us. If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going! We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.
She is doing absolutely super. No problems whatsoever. Could not ask for a better little girl. Have left her alone with finn in the house for a few hours to see if anything was demolished when returned, and all’s been fine. She is definitely a lap dog, and a Velcro dog with me. She has a bit of separation anxiety. When I leave she cries at the door for a little while, but then is ok. She carries on a bit too much when I return, and we’re working on calming down before she gets attention. She and Finn are doing great together. They’ve both been on my lap with neither showing signs of jealousy. They both sleep on our bed at night. You can tell she’s getting more confident each day and shows a little more of herself. And she walks on a leash so nicely!! She’s been on golf cart rides, and to the dog park. Everybody’s impressed with how friendly she is. I really like that she’s good with everyone she meets…person or animal…without being submissive! She had a bath this morning and her toenails trimmed. I use a battery powered filer which she didn’t like. She fought me for a few minutes, then settled down and was fine. She’s very trusting. Has greeted all the neighbors and their dogs. After the first walk, we were told by the neighbors we couldn’t return her if we wanted.
My sister just arrived this afternoon for a visit. She has a 17+ yr old toy poodle, who only weighs 7lbs or so. She was good with her too. I had already told my sister she would be, and she didn’t prove me wrong.
I could not be happier with her, and think she’s a perfect addition to our family (and believe she’s happy to be here!) Thank you Yvette, Hannah, and Judy!!!
