Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

We renamed Sophia to Ginger and she is the sweetest puppy there is!! She loves to play and run after balls we throw and she likes to be around people all the time which makes her like your shadow since she follows you everywhere :)

Storm the Fiesta Bowl Puppy

Judy, sorry for the delay writing to you but we wanted to thank you so much for allowing us to adopt Storm, the Fiesta Bowl Puppy. While I was okay with his name, our first family dinner turned into a decision of his name. By agreement, it had to be a name that all five of us were okay with. After ninety minutes, he became Dexter. He has been such a joy to our family. He is very playful with everyone and gets along well with other dogs. He has had a great trainer from the beginning so he is very responsive to commands. Being a puppy, he loves to chase squirrels and lizards in our fenced in yard but of course he can’t catch any of them. Nevertheless, he gets lots of exercise and walks every day. His bones and toys are scattered all over the house which is okay with us. He is totally housebroken so we donated his two crates back to you to help other pets. We very sincerely thank you as well as your staff and volunteers but there is a special thank you to Cheryl for being such a great foster mom to Storm. Bruce, Carol, and the kids

Starbuck the Bichon Frise
Starbuck the Bichon Frise

Several years ago, we adopted Starbucks from you. We brought our two Bichons to your building to make sure Starbucks would get along with them. He was a handful for at least a year or so. We then added an elderly Golden Retriever and a Shih Tzu to the family. Starbucks became one of the best, most loyal dogs ever! Unfortunately, he rapidly went blind about a year ago and now wears diapers. But, we love him tremendously! Thank you for allowing him into our lives. Doug & Kristen
