Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Olive the Lab

Judy, About 2 years ago we adopted a dog from you that was named 'Olive' at the time. She had a significant scar down her back and had spent time at your home during her rehab after several surgeries and drains. Attached are pictures of 'Olive' who is now called Murphy after a character in a book who is quite a fighter and resourceful. She loves to swim and run in our yard. One of the pictures shows her back and the 'scar' which is barely noticable. Our vet said she is probably part Catthoula, which was learning experience for us. She has a wonderful disposition and sleeps nightly with my son. She loves to play ball, dig, and monitor the squirrels in the yard. We are truely blessed and believe that Murphy found her way to our home and our hearts at the perfect time. Thank you, Sally

Omnaris the Summer Camping Shepherd Pup

Here is an update on Oscar.... Oscar is wonderful and is really getting big, as you guessed. He's 55 lbs (7 mos) and still growing. He loves wrestling with his friends at the dog park everyday. Very playful, still needs supervision. I'd bring him by but we live in Tallahassee now. Enjoy the photos! Chris

O'Brian the Purr Machine Kitten

Dear PRBJ, It's been two weeks since we adopted O'Brian and Nova. Since introducing the two, they've become like brother and sister (as you can see by the attached picture). They're always together and are constantly learning from each other. They play together, eat together and get into trouble together! We are so grateful for them. It's nice to see a more lively house because of these two. They just love attention and keep us company wherever we go. We wanted to thank you (and the fosters!) for giving us the opportunity to open our home to these cute little additions. :)

O'Jay the Loving Lap Cat

Just wanted to give everyone another update on long-time resident O'Jay. For a senior kitty, he still has the energy and curiosity of a kitten, and loves chasing the laser point. He sleeps in any space he can fit, and if he can take things out to make himself fit, that counts. I think he has a future career as a hairdresser, because he likes to sit with me and runs his paws through my hair. He is loving and sweet, and we are so happy with our Handsome Mister Man!

Ox the Affectionate Red Terrier (Video)

I just wanted to give you an update on Josh (used to be Ox). I continue to find out new things about him - such as he is very much a 'water-dog'! He loves the water and is so fun at the beach. He and his brother (the black dog in the photo) just love each other so much. Thanks so much for bringing Josh into our lives!
