Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families. We invite you to read along with us. If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going! We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.
Carol - Paul, Charlie and I want to you another thank you for finding
Jericho
for our family. He is the sweetest dog and a perfect fit for our family. I don't think there could have been a better match. I have attached a photo of Paul &
Jericho
. They love the sun and a midday nap. :)
Jericho is all ready for some cool weather although his hooman says he does not like to be cold!
Hope you are doing well!
Below are pictures taken today of Jack and Jill – they are doing really well. I take them for walks every morning. I take Jill first and then Jack, who now walks at least a mile with me, he is getting better every day. At first he didn’t want to leave our property, he is afraid of noises, cars, bikes and mostly people. Trying to get him used to the sounds; however, he is still very skittish around people, maybe he was abused before. They both went to the vet and everything was good with the exception of Jill ’s allergies. I bathe her with Malaseb -apply Betagen topical spray to her neck and add 2-4 oz of Raw Fermented Goat Kefir to her food daily.
We are going up to NC next month, I think they will enjoy sitting out on the deck looking at 4 acres of woods, a creek and sometimes deer roaming around. They love to go for car rides.
Well, we've had Jax for 14 weeks now. What a wonderful dog! It said he was good with cats which we wanted since we have 3 (also from PRBJ). He basically just ignores them. He is supposed to be 9 years old but sometimes acts like a little puppy. He had a bad time before ending up at Judy's which left him with a severely arthritic hip and missing most of his teeth. We took him to the vet and got an anti-imflammatory which helps a lot. You would hardly know he has a problem. We feed him all soft food because of his teeth. We had a DNA test done and it came back as 100% German Shepherd going back at least 4 generations. This would indicate he came from a breeder or most likely a puppy mill. He is such a sweetheart. We take him on 3 to 4 walks a day which he loves. The only problem is what we call separation anxiety. He stays by me and is usually no more than 5 to 10 feet away. If I leave the house he paces and cries but this is getting better. The picture is his usual position with me. We're so happy with him. Thanks Judy for all the good you do.
