Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Jim the Youthful De-Clawed Turkish Angora

I just wanted to give an update on Jim. Jim is doing well and has become a wonderful addition to my family. My son loves him. There was no hiding period with Jim; within in 30 minutes after getting home he was exploring the entire house with his head up high. He loves to be touched, and loves giving kisses. I think in couple weeks I go back to adopt to kitten. Thank you so much. Merry Christmas & Happy New Years...

Jack the Kitten

Dear Jennifer, Well we finally captured a shot of Jack and Jill awake and not wrestling! Our lives have been so enriched by having the two of them and we’re so happy we adopted both of them. They spend endless hours playing together and I don’t feel quite so guilty when I leave for work in the morning knowing they have one another. Every day when I come home, Jack is sitting at the door. I’ve always heard about cats hiding, especially when strangers are around. Not these two! It seems that whoever is willing to pet them and play with them instantly becomes their new best friend. Our friends and family (who all have cats) are amazed. They are like little people in cat suits. They are a constant source of entertainment and their personalities are so different. Thank you again for nurturing them in such a loving environment. I’ve told many, many people about Pet Rescue by Judy and truly believe that having these animals in foster care seems to help them learn to interact and be trusting. Whatever concern we had about taking on the responsibility of pet parenting quickly disappeared. And…thank you for teaching us how to do this. Warmest regards, Susan and Joe

Jennifer the Shepherd

I wanted to send an updated picture of “Jennifer the Shepherd,” whom I adopted in February 2010. The dog she is kissing is her daughter, Jackie the Shepherd Puppy (now named Lillie), who is also featured in your success stories. Jenn is a chunky, happy pooch with a big back yard that she loves. She now has a brother, a cat named Markham who was left behind by a family that moved out of the Markham Woods area of Longwood. They are both greatest blessings I could have ever asked for. We are a happy little family. Joyce

Jambo the Manx Kitten

Doing well. We love them. Relina calls him RJ for "Rambo-Jambo" Is more like a Rambo than a Jambo. Extremely active, loves Xena the dog. Getting along well with Abina "Abby". Both very happy kitties. Thank you, Frank and Relina
