Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Jabba

Hey Sarah it’s Theresa.    I know if it hadn’t been for you we would not have this opportunity to enjoy and love this beautiful boy of ours.  Two months without major incident and with each day getting easier.  We sincerely love him more each day.  Jabba is amazing and is fitting right in.  He listens very well gets along with all three of his sisters and learning to tolerate the existence of 6 cats.  He’s muscling up and learning not to be so rough with his momma and sisters.  Loves to play even now with toys plus learning the difference between chew toys and remote controls.  Had to replace my iPhone and two remotes (thank God for insurance) however it was my fault I left them on the bed forgetting he wasn’t sure what toys were.  Glad he didn’t swallow any parts or batteries.  I can tell he’s getting more secure with us being his people parents and home is here with us.   So looking forward to many years with him we have been  seriously blessed ❣ ï¸Â.  Again, thank you for caring enough about Jabba to know he needed us and in our home.  I will always feel indebted to you for your kindness, going up and above your job and making it easier for us to make Jabba ’s adoption quickly happen.

Java

Hi PRBJ,

I just wanted to send you guys some pics and an update on Java . He is certainly the king of the castle and makes himself at home no matter where we are and he is always up for a new adventure. We moved to Louisiana for a year for Neil's job and are now back in Florida. Java had lots of fun in Louisiana, and visiting Texas while we were there! He is such a goofy and sweet boy! He refuses to sleep anywhere but snuggled between us in bed! We have been considering expanding our family and adopting another pup. We would like a little guy similar in size to Java so that they can play safely together. He is now 13-15 pounds. I will start watching your website for any updates. If there is someone that you guys feel would be a good fit, please let me know. We believe Java is Jack Russell/Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua. That is what several vets have told us.

Thank you so much!

Jennifer

Thank you again for bringing so much joy into our hearts with our new pup!

Jabba

Good Evening just a couple of pictures to see we had a wonderful day making leaps and bounds of social progress.  Learned Jabba loves to play with and drink water from a water hose.  Everyone went outside together and was nice with Jabba being off the lead.  Freida wanted to play but when Jabba returned her playful lunging gestures she coward and screamed in fear that he was going to play rough .  Never seen that side of her.  Once they actually play and make contact she’ll be ok because she does roughly play as well.  He listens to commands better than the hounds.  His appetite is great without showing any food aggression or hogging his food.  Nibble here and there. We love him more today than yesterday but I’m sure not as much as tomorrow .  Hope your day was great and your tomorrow greater

Jade
Jade

I adopted Jade (Precious is new name) Sept. 4th.
She is doing really well, loves the backporch, sleeps with me,
is so loving & demands attention @ times. She does not awaken me
at night. I left her alone in house this a.m. while I had to help @ my
church & she did perfect. Enjoys looking out of the window.
She does not really like Science diet but the vet wants to keep her
on till bacteria in colon which is:( An abundance of normal
bacteria, nothing contaigous) vet said.  I love her so much already & will make sure she is always well cared for, she deserves it.
Someone somewhere had to have loved her very much before she
became a stray because her behavior is not like a stray. I am glad
she ended up @ Judy's Rescue cause I know you folks really care.
Thanks so very much,    Mary
