Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Dexter the Fluffy Cocker Puppy

Attached are some photos of Dexter. We are celebrating one year together today. He is just as happy as can be. I don't think he meets a stranger. He loves crawling on top of me if I fall asleep and he wants to go out at night. There's nothing like a dog laying on your head to feel loved! That's for letting me adopt such a great dog! Renee

Dixie Darlin' the Akita Pup

Here is Dixie at 6 months old!

Daffney the Puppy
Daffney the Puppy

Hi Colleen, Daffney is now called Lilly! She is already proven to be a wonderful dog and is getting along great with Roxy and the kids. I am going to fill out the reviews that you have sent me the links to but would like to include the name of the foster parent that had Lilly and her siblings. (She had Daffney, and Hawthorne and had a Russian? accent) She did a wonderful job with them and I believe she is responsible for Lilly being such a wonderful pet. Lilly seems to be house trained already as well as crate and leash trained. Thanks, Mike

Didi the Retrieiver

Good afternoon, We adopted Dakota (Didi) 13 months ago! She is an amazing dog. We did the DNA testing on her to find out exactly what kind of dog she is. We found it very interesting and I thought I would share the results. 50% Golden Retriever 25% Rottweiler 25% MINIATURE poodle Crazy right? She looks just like a golden (except the baby poodle head). She is extremely intelligent, very analytical and super affectionate. The best qualities from ALL the breeds! Thank you again for such an amazing girl. I’ve attached the latest picture of her cruising out to the sandbar on the boat. Hope you enjoy it!!! Sincerely, Rebecca

Diane the Hound Puppy

Hello, I wanted to let you guys know that "Diane the Hound dog" or Roxy, as we have renamed her, is doing wonderful at her new home. I have attached a few photos of her playing in the yard and snoozing on her bed. We named her Roxy because we are both avid surfers and she responds to her name really well. I joke that her nick name is Roxy "Rascal" because when you think she's just being cute she tries to steal my flip flops and carry them around the house, haha! She is such a wonderful little dog, so smart, sweet and full of personality! Her favorite toy is a fox with two squeaker toys inside (1 she has already worn out!) and a set of Nylabone keys to keep her puppy teeth happy. Thank you guys for providing such a wonderful service to the Central Florida area - we have found a friend for LIFE. My boyfriend, daughter and I just love her to pieces! We will be attending beginner classes at Petsmart on the 22nd of this month and are very excited. Thanks again and I will keep you all updated and try to send pictures every once in a while so you can see her. =) Lynnessa & Dan PS - I'm voting every day for you guys in the contest! =)
