Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Dundee the Found-in-a-Box Baby

Hi Susan, Here are videos and pics of the pups with and without my Nox. I also included pics of other fosters Uber and Mighty...there's also one of Nox with Boggs (my foster Celia Mae gave birth to her NINE puppies at here...my first whelping adventure. I had all 10 of them for 6 weeks). Nox was my foster-failure, originally named Dundee-the puppy in the box. A volunteer found him in a box on the side of the road, brought him in and he came home with me that night. He was six weeks old and approximately the size of hand. Although physically unharmed, he was clearly emotionally traumatized and had terrible separation anxiety. Luckily it was winter so I took to wearing hoodys all the time, with Nox inside them. He went everywhere with me, inside my jacket. This went on until he was too big to fit, although he still tried. He will be 2 years old this month and he is 82lbs of love and affection! He's the poster child for a mamma's boy, but has no problem sharing me. He takes his role as foster parent very seriously and just adores the pups that come into our home from time to time. Elizabeth

Dodger the Collie Blend
Dodger the Collie Blend

I just wanted to let you know that we've had Dodger in our home for one week now and he's adjusting very well. No accidents, nothing chewed, and he pretty much acts like he owns the joint. LOL. Thanks so much for all your help in finding such a great fit for our family!

Dolly the Little Lab

Dear Melanie, This is Julie - the girl who adopted Dolly from Pet Rescue by Judy. I just wanted to give you an update on how she's doing, and to thank you for being a part of the process that brought her to me. Dolly is doing very well. She has adjusted well to our home, and gets along with Shep. She is so very sweet, and I love taking her for walks and runs, playing with her, and cuddling. She definitely has a spunky personality, and I've had so much fun playing with her and getting to know her. It's been about two months since she's lived with us. When she first arrived, she had a skin infection almost immediately, and our veterinarian put her on antibiotics for a few weeks. Other than that, there really have been no major issues. She will sometimes get into something that she shouldn't, and we're working on boundaries in the house (she once chewed up several boxes of crayons from my teaching materials :) ). Dolly seems to be happy, cuddly, and generally well-adjusted, and I am so grateful to have her in my life. This week she graduated from the training program at Petsmart - you can see the attached picture. Thank you for being willing to open your home and rescue her - I can't imagine life without her, and I know that she wouldn't be here if it weren't for your care for her. Blessings, -Julie

Daisie the Adorable Mini English Bulldog

She is a super sweet dog and is doing well. She has already made herself at home. I am leaving a review right now. I am also wondering where I can drop off items to donate, I saw the post on facebook about the neglected dogs that Judy is taking in. Thanks!

Diamond the Shepherd/Rottie Puppy

She is doing very well and has fit right in with our family. Whisper and Angel have accepted her and are being great siblings. We'll keep in touch. Here is a picture of her from today! We renamed her Xena (warrior princess)! She melts our hearts and she has a wonderful personality!!! Thanks again ~ Sharon
