Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Donna the Sweetheart
Donna the Sweetheart

Hi Diane and Jennifer, Summit (aka Bruce) & Aspen (aka Donna) are doing great! We took them to the vet on Monday and he said they looked great. They are on Heartguard but he said to wait on flea control. We have an appt 2 June for next shots. They are learning to go "tinkle" and "bumble" outside and are quite proud of themselves when they do. They've gone to Dominik's baseball game and were definitely his good luck puppies, he played his best game ever. They've also gone to pick the boys up at school. They love playing in the grass in the yard and exploring. They've met neighbor's three dogs and got along. We'll be taking puppy classes in June. Everyone says how cute and beautiful they are and most can't believe that they are "rescue" dogs--of course I tell them about PRBJ. We love 'em, Josie

Daphne
Daphne

Hello all, I just wanted to share a success story about Daphne the cat. Daphne was adopted October 2003 from Pet Rescue by Judy as a timid, skinny calico whose amber eyes won over the family. She spent her early years being the center of attention from her Mom, Dad, and brother and enjoyed a fascination with sleeping in the bathroom sink. Now much older and wiser (and heavier) Daphne spends her senior years on her perch, gazing at the birds feeding outside and fighting her owners for the bed at night. Thank you so much to your organization for introducing her to our family. Sincerely, Christopher
