Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Baby the Senior Lhasa Apso
Baby the Senior Lhasa Apso

Baby is mostly blind, deaf and had a heart murmur. We have renamed her Sofia, which is Spanish for wisdom or wise. At age ten, she has had to become wise to survive. She was found wandering the streets and saved by a wonderful woman named Lisa. Sofia is doing very well. Her heart problem is being diagnosed, but our vet is more optimistic that the original vet. Sofia is the sweetest animal we have ever seen. We are blessed to have her. Charmaine G.

Bangle
Bangle

Originally adopted in January as "Bangle" a tiger striped kitten, we decided to make the name a bit shorter and so we ended up calling him Ben. He is a spunky little thing, always getting into an empty box and playing with his favorite toys, felt mice. Ben loves playing in the sink and isn't afraid of getting a little wet! He loves waking up his parents with loud meows in the early morning. Ben has been such a joyful addition to our household and we thank you for all that you do!!! Thank you for our bundle of joy! - Greg & Erin

Bow Tie
Bow Tie

Giving you an update on Bow. He is doing very well. He is such a good dog. He loves to play with his best friend Tinkerbell. He has a huge back yard with a swimming pool to run and play in and we can't keep him out of the water no matter how cold it gets. He has a pen in the Florida room and that is his "house". When he is in his house he does not like for people who do not live with him near it. He tries to act all tough and barks at company when they come over and then when we let him out he licks them to death ha ha. Well I just wanted to send you some pics and let you know how he was doing. Thank you so much for bringing him into our lives he is such a sweetheart. ~ Jackie & Jim

Bernie
Bernie

Bernie is doing just great. What a super little guy. Maggie pushes him around quite a bit, but he will only take so much. He loves to cuddle!! Always floats by Ray or me and gives us a quick kiss on the leg. He has been such a joy. He puts himself to bed at night. When he's had enough he just goes upstairs to our bedroom and it's lights out. Love him a bunch!! ~ Sandy B.

Bojangles
Bojangles

Bojangles (now Beans) is doing great. He is thoroughly enjoying our long walks every morning by the lake and then curling up next to the couch for a long afternoon nap. I attached a picture with his favorite toy. We are currently working on teaching him to sit and he is picking it up really quickly. He seems really happy and I am so glad that I got him! Thanks for everything! ~ Allison
