Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Bentley Squirt the Trained Lab

Bentley is a blessing to us. He brings joy to our home and we love him. He has adapted quickly to our home and has not had a difficult transition. He is already house trained, so he doesn’t jump or climb on things like furniture or beds. He loves his crate and also the KONG lounging mat we got for him where he is lying in the attached picture. He sits across the room on this mat when we eat dinner, which is after he has been fed. His diet is well. We are transitioning him to Purina ONE dog food. He loves to play catch in our backyard and go on walks in our neighborhood. We use a harness to walk him and he stays easily at our side on a short leash lead without any commands or pulling. He responds well to sit, down, stay commands. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to adopt him. JIM

Bashful the Disney 7 Dwarf Hound Puppy

Here’s Bashful, one of your Disney Pups that I rescued on Memorial Day. What a handsome dog! He is smart and very sweet. But full of Puppy adventures! We are so happy to have him in our family. Silvia

Blossom the SoCo Fire Basset Hound
Blossom the SoCo Fire Basset Hound

Thank you so much. I switched her over to that food and within a couple days she was feeling fine again. Everything is going great. She has settled in, loves the community where I live (and me). She thinks that one of the chairs in my living room is hers, but that's okay. I won't tell her otherwise. She loves going on walks on the West Orange trail and runs (though I can't keep up with her). I attached a couple new photos of her as well. - Jeremy

Blackberry the Black Lab

Just wanted to give you an update on Blackberry. We have moved into a house within the last month and Blackberry has the huge backyard to play in and run. He is loving it! There are dogs on both sides of the house that he can play with. He has plenty of room and lots of new friends. I have attached a few pictures for you to see. He is a graduate of Puppy Training and has come a long way in a few short months. Just wanted to say thank you again to all of the staff at Pet Rescue by Judy and for providing us the opportunity to have him as part of our family. Thank you again for everything, Nick, Amanda, and Blackberry

Bacon the SoCo Fire Pup
Bacon the SoCo Fire Pup

Bacon (now Jax) is doing great. He has fit right into our family. He still has his moody moments, but the girls know to stay away if he is like that. He mostly seems to get like that when he is real tired. Him and Charlie get along real well too. Jax has a small cut on his paw today, and Charlie was licking it clean for him.
