Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Bella the Shy Terrier Shar Pei
Bella the Shy Terrier Shar Pei

It's been several months since I welcomed Bella & Rosie into my family. Each day, they are really coming out of their shells. The video is a little dark, but Bella is the one on the dog bed popping up to play with Murphy and Rosie is standing by, wagging her tail & watching their antics... They have been a total joy! Michele

Blitz the White Shepherd

Good morning! I just thought I would give you all a quick update on Blitz. She is doing just wonderful and has really come out of her shell. We’ve been working on building her confidence by teaching her new tricks and commands. She is just such a sweet girl and is turning into quite the snuggle pup. She loves to beg for belly rubs now. She is a very quiet dog and we’ve only heard her bark twice so far. Both times were when she heard something outside at night (likely the local raccoon or possum). She and Kirin get along wonderfully. Blitz tends to take a lot of cues from Kirin on behavior which works out wonderfully. Kirin is also teaching her the fine art of lizard chasing. They love to play together followed by curling up next to each other for a breather. Health wise she is doing fantastic. She has put on around 8 pounds and has filled out nicely. The minor skin issue on her tummy is clearing up. And for the best news of all, she is now heartworm negative! We had her tested as part of a full work up at the vet shortly after we adopted her and it came back negative! I’ve attached a picture of both Kirin and Blitz. Amanda

Blackberry the Spaniel Puppy

We adopted Blackberry (now Sasha) on May 7th. She is so sweet and we love her. She is very happy with her new family. Thank you. Debbie

Buck the Gentle Vizla Mix
Buck the Gentle Vizla Mix

We adopted Lucky just a month after we moved into our first house (he’s been very patient as we do work on the house). He loves to work out in the yard & play fetch with Dad, cuddle with Mom, and going for walks around the lake behind our home. Lucky now runs the house & has learned a new trick (“stay”)! He also loves playing with our neighbor’s golden retriever and visiting his cousin (Napoleon, a Rat Terrier rescue who lives in Brevard County with Grandma & Grandpa). He is the perfect dog for our new family, and we wanted to thank Pet Rescue by Judy for bringing Lucky into our lives!

Bailey the Siamese Kitten

I got Bailey from you a couple of month ago and as you can see he has taken over the house. Helen
