Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Boots the Mellow Little Kitten

Catherine, Hello! They are doing quite well. I took them to the vet last week and they were in good condition! By the way, for your records, it turns out the vet I was thinking of was actually named Waterford Lakes Animal Hospital. The doctor who attended them was Dr. Erin Lindblad and you can call them at 407-382-3818 if you would like to. Simba had a bit of flea dirt on him but i assume that was from the shelter. I had to put topical flea treatment on both of the cats just in case. Boots was clean but otherwise seemed to develop a bit of a cold. The vet told me that sometimes happens to cats when they move to a new home, although I don't quite understand it, haha. I have been feeding them well, they have plenty of space, and although there was some hissing and batting at first, now they play fight and chase each other, which makes me happy. Let me know if you have any more questions! Take care, Andre

Boadicea the Tuxedo Kitten

Just wanted to drop a line to let you know Boadicea has settled into her new home & has everyone wrapped around her little paws. I have enclosed a few pictures. There is one with my son (almost 13) who said he wouldn't really have much to do with the cat. The first night she jumped up next to where he was sitting, settled down & cuddled up to him. He is now hooked on her. Thanks for taking care of her until we could adopt her.

Bruce the Kissing Kitten

Bruce is great. In truth we changed his name to Thackery Binx, but he just goes by Binx! He has been such a joy to have in just this short time. On his second day with us he made sure we knew that this is His house. You guys are so right about him being a kisser! I wake up about every other night or so to him liking my face or arm lol. He has also been adjusting to Rain our Lab very well. He loves to take her toys! As for him, my family spoiled him for Christmas. He got a bunch of toys! I will be sure to email you pictures and give you updates every now and then!

Bruce the Dachshund

Here are updated pictures of Jack, previously called Bruce. We are enjoying him a lot. Thank you and Happy New Year. Troy and Michele

Buttercup the kitten

Hi Jennifer, We just wanted to let you know that Buttercup, who we renamed Leo, has adjusted well to his new home. He is very sweet and loves to be held for long periods of time. He never pulls out his claws with us but loves to chew on everything. He is extremely sociable with any guests and is very tolerant with our 5 year old son. We think he is an amazing cat and we are all happy together. Kathy, Sam & Zachary Vrochopoulos
